Taking an old game show to "New Heights."
Amazon Prime Video's reimagining of "Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?" will premiere Oct. 16, the streaming service announced Thursday. The Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce will host the new iteration, dubbed "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?" which received a 20-episode order.
In the first images, Kelce, 34, can be seen on the stage in a cobalt suit, white T-shirt and matching sneakers, standing in front of the show's logo and shelves of books, looking ready to unleash some knowledge on the audience.
Jeff Foxworthy helmed the original game show which debuted on Fox in 2007 in which contestants were quizzed on things they should've learned in elementary school with hopes of winning a large cash prize. Nickelodeon briefly revived the series in 2019 with John Cena as host.

On "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?" each contestant will vie for the $100,000 prize by trying their best to correctly answer 11 questions derived from grade school curriculum. Hopefuls will be able to seek assistance from the group of celebrities assembled.
"And on the final question, worth $100,000, the contestant selects one celebrity to discuss the answer with before locking in," Thursday's announcement read. "The final question is always at the 6th-grade level."
Nikki Glaser, who recently made a splash for her quips at Netflix's roast of Tom Brady, and her fellow comics Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer and Ron Funches will appear, as well as Bravo celebrities Garcelle Beauvais ("The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills") and Lala Kent ("Vanderpump Rules"). Stars from Kelce's football world will also be featured, including former wide receiver Chad Ochocinco Johnson and ex-quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Kelce will be back in his football pads when the Chiefs' play their first pre-season game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Saturday. In his off-season, Kelce has been supporting girlfriend Taylor Swift on international stops of her Eras Tour. In June he even appeared onstage as Swift rocked London's Wembley Stadium during the singer's performance of "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived."
